Calder Clarion’s Ella Brooks-Cook and Jack Cook were on the podium in the prestigious British Cycling Yorkshire Youth Championships at Doncaster on 1st June.
The races were part of the inaugural Doncaster Festival of Cycling which attracted riders from all parts of the UK and included professional. Olympic champion Ed Clancy won the elite race with Dean Downing 2nd.

The youngest category of riders, including Ella and Jack’s races, were showcasing the talented stars of the future.
Ella was 2nd behind Kate Shaw of Huddersfield Star Wheelers in the Under 8 girls event and Jack took 3rd in the Under 8 boys race won by Doncaster Wheelers Tyler Green from Noah Scott Wright (Featherstone Road Club) and Jack in 3rd. Also getting into the top 6 places were: Declan Wiles (BBM Revolution), Thomas Smith (Boston Wheelers) and Maddox Howe (Pendle CS).
