Calder Ladies

We — Calder Clarion — really want more female cyclists; so even if we’re not the next Beryl Burton or Lizzie Armistead we can still be inspired. So, stop worrying about helmet hair and chain tattoos and get out and have some two-wheeled fun and excitement!

I know myself it can be a little daunting joining a club for the first time…. Rest assured Calder Clarion are very friendly and inclusive, and we welcome new members. The Ladies rides are ultimately for pleasure, no one will get left behind, and we re-group at regular intervals, especially on hills, before we continue.

Calder Ladies meet every Thursday for a sociable paced road ride of 12-14mph covering 20 to 25 miles, with a sociable drink at the finish. Routes are pre-planned, though not set in stone. The routes are listed on the Ladies rides page, and show distance, elevation and the all important pub stop. The routes can be downloaded to your GPS/garmin device.

New members are welcome to ride as our guests for 3 rides, after that we ask you to join us as a full member.
