Calder Clarion Cycling Club has a rich history of competitive cycling. We currently run Time Trial events throughout the year. Our New Years Day 5 mile TT kicks off the year and then from May to August our popular summer 10 mile TT series runs for a period of 17 weeks. Following the last of the 10 milers we finish off the season with our Hill Climb, a tough 1.1km test on Woolley Edge. A number of trophies and awards are presented by the club each year for achievements in time trialling during the season – these can be seen here: https://calderclarion.co.uk/club-trophies-and-awards/ .
Time trials are open to both those who are Calder Clarion club members and those who are not – we regularly have non Calder riders taking part, and very much welcome their participation. However, non Calder Clarion club members taking part need to be members of CTT (Cycling Time Trials) affiliated cycle clubs for insurance purposes. Check with your club if you aren’t sure.
