There were Calder Clarion riders across the age spectrum competing in the Yorkshire Cyclo Cross Association’s Thornes Park Cyclo Cross fixture promoted by Wakefield Triathlon on 23rd September.

Having a go for the first time were Martin Price, on his Mountain Bike and C2C back up support man Peter Gillot who joined Peter Milsom and Richard Fenn in the Vets race. Both enjoyed the experience and plan to ride further events this season.
Lucy and Jamie Milsom were well to the fore in the Junior races both showing good form after riding in the West Riding Track League at Roundhay Park during the summer.

| Calder Clarion Go-Ride Games Cyclo Cross |
Three Calder riders new to Cyclo Cross were on the start line for the Senior Race; Roadmen Jonny Croston and Mark Burgess joined regular Cross man Paul Milsom. New Calder member Kyle Wells also took part in the event.
Meanwhile 10 new junior members of Calder Clarion’s Go_Ride squad were competing in a Cyclo Cross event at St Thomas a Becket College, Sandal in early September.The event was part of the Go-Ride Games Series which were organised as a tribute to the recent Olympic Games. The Sandal event attracted youngsters from the Wakefield, Huddersfield and Sheffield Area’s with some coming from Caterick and York.
The Calder Clarion Go-Riders were: Louis Audain, Matthew Butler, Megan Hoyle, Harry Hudson, George Hudson, Kirsten Jagger, Robyn Lindop, Jack Pickard, Oliver Williams and Isabella Williams.
