Chain Reaction MTB Marathon

Carl Lindop took part in the Chain Reaction Mountain Bike Marathon at Builth Wells in Wales. The tough event was made more difficult with high temperatures throughout producing a high drop out rate, but Carl managed to stay cool and completed the course.
Stuart Bowering began his road racing season, finishing in the bunch, behind a break of three in the Leeming Road Race in North Yorkshire. Stuart made several attempts to bridge across to the break in the late stages, but had to settle for a place in the bunch.
Calder Chairman George Masson completed his first 10 mile TT of the year at South Cave near Hull on the V178, his favourite course.  
Michael Vennard, Johnny Croston, Tom Butler and Matt Dodsworth rode the Red Rose Audax from Halifax to Morecambe Bay through Pendle and the Trough of Bowland; 
Michael Vennard and Mat Dodsworth completed Peak Audax’s ‘Ice Cream Wensdae‘ in Cheshire. 
9 Clarionistas did 3 days riding in Flanders at the Ronde Van Vlaanderen

In April,Steve Butler, John Clayton, Richard Hancock and Tim Moss are riding the Gateway to the Highlands Sportive in the Trossachs including the Dukes Pass climb. The Sportive, organised by West Lothian Clarion is part of the National Clarion Easter Meet Festival of cycling.
