The traditional boxing day run to Holmfirth was very well attended this year. The pae was sociable from Horbury Bridge through Ravensthorpe, Huddersfield, Honley to Sid’s Cafe, Holmfirth where the staff were on their toes to cater for hungry clarionista demands for beans on toast, bacon butties and tea all round. On the way back on the climb from New Mill to the CrossRoads Inn it got competitive with groups splintering and reforming all the way back over the “Bretton Burg” and down to Wakefield.
