After a long succession of very cold days, there were slightly warmer conditions for the 2012 version of the annual epic Batley Bash.
The early “Reliability Trial from Tingley to Boothferry Bridge and back attracted the usual big field drawn from predominantly West Yorkshire Clubs, including four from Calder Clarion.

Steve Butler, Jonny Croston, Martin Price and Michael Vennard enjoyed their experience and stayed with the bunch until Martin Price ran through a pothole and punctured on the way back. His three team mates opted to wait for him and continue to the finish together.
