Saddleworth Clarion’s Ben Gillespie, winner of the Calder 1st january 5 mile TT, was a comfortable winner in the 1.2 kilometre, 20% maximum gradient Polocini Cafe Hill Climb on Sunday 3rd February in a time of 3.58
Conditions were cold with rain falling hard with streams of water running down the roadside gutters.
Jonny Croston came in 5th with 4.41.
Michael Vennard on a heavy winter bike complete with mudguards (below) was 23rd in 5.42
