Calder’s Carl Lindop was one of sixteen Morrison Supermarket staff who cycled 236 miles from London to the firm’s head office in Bradford, raising £11,000 in the process.

The 15 men and one woman undertook the challenge in aid of the company’s charity of the year – Save The Children.
It took them two days and began at the Save The Children headquarters near the Barbican in London before the team passed through St Neots, Stamford and Grantham, on their way to Gain Lane, Thornbury.
The group left London on Saturday 19th May and stayed overnight in Grantham.
Former Calder rider Gary Phillis (Wakefield CC) also completed the ride.
One of the cyclists, Jess Nixon, said: “We are so proud to have completed this journey. To think that some of us had never done much cycling until six weeks ago and now we’ve completed a 236-mile ride, it’s fantastic.”
