Calder Clarion’s 2012 Summer 10 mile TT series is moving to a new course near Hemsworth after 12 years on the Heath Common course. The road surface on a stretch of the old course was deemed too dangerous to race on and the suggested modification to avoid the hazardous section had too many roundabouts and points requiring a marshalling requirement which would be too difficult to manage weekly.

The new course should be quieter, faster and easier to marshall. Apart from the first roundabout, where there’s a right turn, the remaining four roundabouts are left turn, first exit.
The first event starts at 19:00 on Wednesday 2nd May and then every Wednesday through May, June, July and August. All the events will be 10 mile TTs except on 13th June and 11th July when we are holding 29 kilometre time trials.
